I can't believe we have already finished our second week of third grade!
We are in full swing and have been learning tons of things.
In MATH we have been working on Place Value and are already up to the thousands place!
We finished our very first READING story called First Day Jitters by Julie Danneberg, and we were able to analyze the story structure by identifying the characters, setting and plot events.
In SCIENCE, we made observations and inferences based on our observations, just like real scientists do.
In RELIGION, we discussed ways to care for things in nature that God gave to us. We also learned the first few lines of the Apostle's Creed. "I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of Heaven and Earth..."
We also took our very first SPELLING test on words with short vowel sounds.
In GRAMMAR we learned the difference between a statement and a question and what type of punctuation we use for each one.
We are having tons of fun and learning so many new things already!
